Who do I call for help?
For problems with your phone system, or to request changes or moves, adds you may use the online service form or call our office 24 hours a day at 631 956 0100. We provide on call service after 5 PM EST so please allow time for our on-call technician to return your call when calling after hours, weekends, or on holidays.


Changing the Date and Time
Please choose your system from the below list for instructions on changing your time.

Comdial Impact DSU II
Please do the following with the handset hung up.
• From extension 10, press Intercom *#746*
• Dial 01
• Dial 00-99 for year
• Dial 10-12 for month
• Dial 1-31 for day
• Dial 00-23 for hour
• Dial 00-59 for minute.
• Press speaker to exit.

Comdial Impact DXP
Please do the following with the handset hung up.
• Press Intercom *#0*
• Select 01
• Enter date (MM:DD:YY).
• Enter time (HH:MM).
• Press # to end

Comdial/Vertical DX-80/DX 120 System
Please do the following with the handset hung up
Changing the time on a Comdial DX-80 system can be done from any display phone.
• Press Feature # * and enter in your password (Default password ########)
• Press Show and enter 0803
• Press Save then Show
• The option to change the Year will appear – if you do not need to change the year, press Next – if you need to change this value, press Chg, enter in two digits for the year and press Save then Next
• The option to change the Month will appear – if you do not need to change the month, press Next – if you need to change this value, press Chg, enter in two digits for the month and press Save then Next
• The option to change the Day will appear – if you do not need to change the date, press Next – if you need to change this value, press Chg, enter in two digits for the date and press Save then Next
• The option to change the Weekday will appear – if you do not need to change the weekday, press Next – if you need to change this value, press Chg, to select the weekday, and press Next
• The option to change the Hour will appear – press Chg and enter in two digits for the hour in military format – press Save then Next
• The option to change the Minutes will appear – press Chg and enter in two digits for the minutes and press Save
• Press Hold to exit programming mode

Vertical SBX IP 320 Setting Time and Date
The attendant station (x100 for most customers) is the only station that can change the time and date of the telephone system. From ext. 100 with handset hung up …
• Press TRANS/PGM button
• Dial 0 4
    Display reads: date and time
• Press 1
    Display reads: change system date and time
• Date = enter mmddyy
• Press HOLD/SAVE button
• Enter time = hhmm (24-hour format)
• Press HOLD/SAVE
These instructions may not work on all configurations or software revisions.

Vertical Wave 500 and 2500 Setting Time and Date
The system date and time is set by your telephone system administrator or by SST Communications remotely. Please contact your telephone system administrator for help.


What is the difference between new and refurbished telephone equipment?
Refurbished (or re-manufactured) equipment is equipment that has been used and tested and said to be working. Refurbished equipment, however, does not carry the same warranty as new equipment. In general your company’s telecommunications system is too important to risk using used and/or refurbished equipment. We will be able to provide you with further information during the new system configuration and analysis process.

What is the standard warranty at SST Communications?
SST Communications offers a 1 year warranty on telephone systems and cabling we sell. Extended service contracts and support plans are available after the first year. Please click here for more information on our support plans.


How long does it take to get a quote?
Upon meeting with SST Communications we will conduct a full review and analysis of your telecommunications needs. After that meeting a proposal will usually be sent for your review within 1 to 4 days depending on the size and complexity of your telecommunications project. Can I trade in my old system?
SST Communications will accept trade-ins on most used telephone equipment. The exact Trade-in value is based upon many variables such as system condition, age etc. We will be able to provide you with and exact Trade-in price during the new system configuration and analysis process. Existing Comdial customers are offered extremely advantageous trade-in values when moving from an existing Comdial system to the new Vertical MBX, SBX or Wave.


Who installs the equipment SST Communications sells?
Upon the sale of your new telephone system, SST Communications factory-trained and certified technicians will go to work installing your telecommunications equipment in accordance with the highest industry standards. We never sub contract any of our installations. Every cable and jack is tested and certified for the highest performance and efficiency. Upon acceptance of the completed installation, SST Communications will provide 30 days for any modifications necessary to be sure your investment is meeting the needs of your company.
